Getting Started

Does ReplyMe work with my current WhatsApp number?

ReplyMe works with WhatsApp Business numbers connected via the official WhatsApp Business API. If you currently use the free WhatsApp Business app on your phone, you'll need to migrate your number to the API. We guide you through this step-by-step during onboarding.

Note: Personal WhatsApp accounts (non-Business) are not supported due to WhatsApp's platform policies.

Do I need the official WhatsApp Business API?

Yes. ReplyMe connects to WhatsApp via the official Meta WhatsApp Business API. This is required by Meta for any automated messaging. The API is free to apply for, and most small business accounts are approved within 24-48 hours. We'll help you through the process.

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are fully live in under 30 minutes:

  1. Connect your WhatsApp Business number (~5 min)
  2. Upload your FAQs or paste your business info (~10 min)
  3. Test your AI replies (~5 min)
  4. Go live (~1 min)

No coding or technical skills required.

Can I try ReplyMe before paying?

Yes. We offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You get access to core features so you can test AI replies with real messages before committing to a plan.

What kinds of questions can the AI answer?

The AI answers questions based on your custom knowledge base including the business info, FAQs, product details, pricing, and policies you provide. It's excellent for:

What happens when the AI can't answer a question?

When the AI encounters a question it can't confidently answer, it will:

  1. Give a graceful fallback response (for example, "Let me connect you with our team")
  2. Send you an instant alert so a human can take over
  3. Seamlessly hand the conversation to your team

You stay in control at all times.

Can a human take over the conversation at any time?

Yes. ReplyMe supports human handoff. Your team can step into any conversation instantly from the dashboard. Once a human takes over, the AI pauses for that conversation. You can re-enable the AI when you're done.

Will the AI ever say something wrong or embarrassing?

We've designed the AI to stay strictly within the information you provide. It won't guess or make up answers. If it's not confident, it escalates to you rather than responding incorrectly. That said, we recommend reviewing your knowledge base regularly and testing edge-case questions during setup.

Can I customize the AI's tone and personality?

Yes. You can set your preferred tone (formal, friendly, casual) and include custom instructions during setup. For example: "Always greet customers by name" or "Sign off every message with our store tagline."

WhatsApp & Compliance

Is this allowed by WhatsApp?

Yes. ReplyMe operates via the official WhatsApp Business API, which is the only Meta-approved method for automated messaging. We are not a third-party workaround or unofficial tool. Using the official API means your number is safe from being banned for using an unsupported integration.

Will my WhatsApp number be safe?

Yes, as long as you follow WhatsApp's Business policies. Accounts are at risk only when businesses send spam or violate Meta's Commerce Policy. ReplyMe is designed to help you respond to inbound messages, which is fully compliant.

Are my customers' conversations private?

Yes. Messages are encrypted in transit and stored securely. We process conversation data only to deliver the Service. We never use your customers' data for AI training or share it with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Pricing & Plans

What happens if I exceed my message limit?

If you reach your plan's monthly message limit:

  • On Starter (500 msg/mo) and Grow (2,000 msg/mo): the AI will pause and you'll receive an alert to upgrade
  • We will never charge you automatically for overages without your consent
  • You can upgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard and changes take effect immediately
Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Do you offer annual billing?

Annual billing with a discount is coming soon. Join our mailing list or check our Pricing page for updates.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of a paid plan, email us at hello@heyreplyme.com and we'll issue a full refund. After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable. See our Terms of Service for details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account dashboard with no penalties and no phone calls required. Your account stays active until the end of your current billing period.

Features & Integrations

Does ReplyMe support multiple WhatsApp numbers?

Yes, depending on your plan:

  • Starter: 1 WhatsApp number
  • Grow: 2 WhatsApp numbers
  • Pro: Up to 5 WhatsApp numbers

Each number can have its own AI knowledge base and settings.

Does ReplyMe work with my CRM?

The Grow and Pro plans include lead tagging that integrates with popular CRMs. Native integrations and Zapier support are on our roadmap. Contact us at hello@heyreplyme.com to ask about specific integrations.

Can ReplyMe book appointments?

Appointment booking is available on the Grow and Pro plans. The AI can collect availability preferences and route booking confirmations to your preferred calendar tool.

Does ReplyMe support languages other than English?

Yes. The AI can respond in any language that your knowledge base is written in. If you write your FAQs in Bahasa Indonesia, the AI will respond in Bahasa Indonesia. Multi-language support that detects and responds in the customer's language is on our roadmap.
